XB Stereo wiring diagram.
This is a standard wiring diagram I have taken from a
number of XB Falcons, the only difference should be the connections for
the radio or 8 track player as each model radio or tape deck used will
have different coloured wires leading from the rear of the unit.
The original speaker wires were grey and white in colour.
Each rectangle green block in the diagram represents a
plastic terminal. This is a very basic system and you should have no
trouble setting it up.
As you see from the fader terminals below the square terminal is the
stereo connection. The three hole one for the rear speakers
and the four hole connection is for the front speakers.

For those who dont
have the stereo system fitted to the XB the other option available was
the standard mono speaker and radio.
This is the standard 5 watt speaker
fitted under the dash facing the windscreen. You can see the
factory bracket that holds it in place and the factory audio connection
at the bottom.
